General Manager – Your Evening Phil 6-9pm
I got started in radio back in 1980 in Thief River Falls and almost right away got involved in the advertising sales end of things along with on-air work. I actually did a short stint in Fosston in 1985 and then jumped to a new rock station coming on the air in Grand Forks in early 1986. It was in 1986 through a series of events that I committed my life to Jesus and, with the help of several others, began the task of beginning a Christian Radio Ministry in the region. I never thought Fosston would be the location, but by Christmas of ’87 I had moved my family back to Fosston and by 1992, Pine to Prairie Broadcasting, Inc. was formed and had purchased the Fosston radio station with the purpose of increasing the power and serving the region. Q107 went on the air November 1st of 1993! The ministry and reach of the station has grown, thanks to the help of many wonderful listeners and supporters, along with the partnership of Shine the Light, Inc.
As general manager, it has been so rewarding to see the faithfulness of God, even when times have been tough. The addition of translators in several communities, the Bemidji office, the Grand Forks studio, the name change to Your QFM, and some very talented staff, has been very exciting…and I look forward to where the Lord will lead in the years to come. Currently, I enjoy traveling between Grand Forks and Bemidji and wherever else, to help oversee the ministry…and I along with my wife and kids are still tucked conveniently in Fosston…at least for the time being. We thank God for how he has used the radio station to make a difference in the region.
I’m a Grand Forks lifer. I grew up in the Lincoln Park area that was wiped out in the 97 flood. I aspired to be a garbage man at a young age, the machine was cool, eating all that trash and stuff!! Music has always been a part of my life, and picked up guitar and other instruments very young. My mom listened to everything, and dad both kinds, country and western.
Jesus saved me back in the winter of 1998, and has blessed my wife Yvonne and I with a very special 4 year old son Nicholas, who went home to be with the Lord in February of 2013.
I enjoy any sport where hitting a ball happens, and fishing and hunting. Teaching and playing my guitar too! If you happen to stop in at Hope Church in Grand Forks, I’m the big guy with the shiny head playing on the worship team.

Beth was born and raised in Florida, but did spend two years in Arizona. During High School in Phoenix, she started on a small radio program as a “DJ” as part of Junior Achievement. Upon returning to Florida and finishing high school, she started working at Q105 in Tampa answering request lines, tracking requests, and assisting with promotions. She left radio to attend college and then pursue a career in the Air Force. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and then served in the USAF from 1985 to 1992. She has taught school in several places and for all ages preschool through college. Having ADHD (“squirrel”) has lent itself to many occupations over time including Linguist, Combat Photographer, Intelligence Analyst, teacher, medic, part-time hockey team manager, Boy Scout Leader, and of course radio announcer. Any job where she can talk is good!

Greetings everybody! I’m honored and excited to now be a part of the family here at Your QFM! I’ve grown up around this neck of the woods my whole life, hailing from the “booming” metropolis of Winger, MN. I came to Bemidji in fall 2007 to attend Bemidji State University. During my time at BSU, I stayed very busy with classes, working for the Department of Residential Life and serving both as a peer and board member for the Lutheran Campus Ministry.
I graduated in spring of 2012 and got a last minute job as a Residential Hall Director at BSU and was there until winter of 2013. It was around that time that I got another last minute invitation from Mr. Phil Ehlke to join the team at Your QFM. One of the many things I have learned from being a child of God is that we will always be taken care and that God will always provide, so why worry right?
Music and acting have been a huge part of my life and are my true passions. Being an actor/performer has been my dream since I was a young lad. Growing up, I was surrounded by a great variety of music and have an appreciation for pretty much any genre of music there is. However, rock will always be my number one go-to music! In my spare time, I enjoy anything that has to do with music (listening to it, playing it, writing it, going to concerts), watching movies, family, friends, gaming, and pretty much anything involving the outdoors. If there’s anything else you’d like to know, look me up! God bless and keep on livin’!
I am not a pastor or counselor. I am a guy who did mainstream radio shows for 13 years till God got a hold of me and brought me here. I am not perfect, and I definitely still have some edges. I am a person, like you who is trying to consistently live out my faith on a daily basis. Some days I succeed and some days I fail. I ask questions to start conversations and, other times, cause I honestly don’t know the answer. I realize this show is not for everybody, but it is for someone everyday. I have seen God use the serious as well as the silly things we do to change lives and that is the goal of this show.
